You can find tons of article directories, but there are only a handful that are worth your time and effort. Since backlinking is time consuming, you never want to waste it with articles for backlinks on directories. Just see to it that you’re submitting good, quality articles.
Social media is a hot way to get targeted backlinks to your site, and by simply creating your profiles on these social media sites, you’ll be able to add your link to them. The reason this works so well is because of the PR and trust rank of the major social media sites. But remember it is not just your profile that you want to get your backlinks on, so do your research and learn more. If you try to create a thousand accounts for backlinking, then just be aware that you can get into legal trouble.
Link building doesn’t have to be boring, it can be fun; so when you’re starting to work on the SEO of your new site, keep in mind that you have to be consistent in your efforts. Most people outsource all of this; that is something else to think about.
Keep in mind that others are working on the same thing, so you just need to be smarter about it. This part of SEO is called off-page factors, and it is more important than anything else.
