How to Write Persuasive Ad Copy
Persuasion via text and text only is something that not all people are capable of achieving. On the other hand, however, when you know the rules of successful copywriting, you will know which words to use and when and will be able to effectively present your prospect with something he wants to purchase. So it is about how you take it and what sort of effort you put into building the perfect advertising copy. A great way to have better and more persuasive ad copy is to publish any test results you have for your product within your ad copy. This is going to be a great way to convince your prospects because it allows them to see for themselves how well your product performs when being put through its paces. This test might be about safety, durability, quality, etc. Pretty much anything that you think will make your ad more convincing to the reader should be included. People these days really depend on test results as it gives them a strong reason to believe in the product.
It is important to make sure that your ad copy is as simple as it can be so that you will have an easier time persuading him to be convinced about your offer. Using a lot of superfluous language isn’t going to help you, it will only hurt you. You run the risk of alienating your prospect if you use verbiage that is too complicated and that is why you need to be as simple as you can be in your approach. Being persuasive is all about getting the other person to both accept and agree with your point of view and you can’t do that if you confuse them.
Lastly, the way you organize your ad copy also plays a key role in its persuasion. You do not want your prospects to feel intimidated the very first time they see your advertising copy; you want to make sure they feel at ease and comfortable. They should be able to scan your copy and get an idea of your message without having to read every last bit of it. This can be achieved by writing the content in small blocks and using lots of bullet points. Your main goal is to persuade your prospects and this is a lot easier to do when you segregate your advertising copy in this manner because it makes it easier for your prospects to read. Persuasive ad copy makes it easier for readers to take proper action. There are lots of reasons that will make your prospects take or not take action and for the most part those reasons are driven by emotions. When you persuade them to act, you’ll automatically entice their emotions and give them a stronger reason to move forward. With effective persuasion you remove the initial block that your prospect may experience while going through your advertising message.
